Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Verus Coaching (“Verus”, “I”, “me”), including:

  • 1:1 Coaching

  • Group Coaching Programs

  • Retreats

  • Advisory and Consulting Services

  • Workshops and Events

    By engaging in any Verus Coaching service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Nature of Coaching

Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to support clarity, insight, and meaningful change.

By engaging in coaching, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes

  • Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical support

  • Coaching may explore personal and professional topics where relevant to your goals

  • If additional support is required (e.g. mental health care), you may be referred to an appropriate professional

3. Client Commitment

To support the effectiveness of the work, you agree to:

  • Attend sessions on time and be present

  • Engage openly and honestly

  • Take responsibility for actions between sessions

  • Communicate any concerns or changes as they arise

Coaching is most effective when approached as an active partnership.

4. Confidentiality

Confidentiality is central to the Verus Coaching experience.

  • All information shared during coaching will be kept strictly confidential

  • Your participation in coaching will not be disclosed without your permission

  • Notes may be taken for the purpose of supporting your progress and will be stored securely

  • Information will only be disclosed where required by law, or where there is a risk of harm

5. Privacy and Data Management

Verus Coaching is committed to handling your information with care and integrity.

  • Personal information (e.g. name, email, contact details) is collected only as required to deliver services

  • Coaching notes are minimal, confidential, and securely stored

  • Information is not shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law

  • Digital systems used (e.g. email, scheduling, video platforms) are selected with privacy in mind

You may request access to or deletion of your personal information at any time.

6. Coaching Records and Accreditation

As part of professional accreditation and ongoing development:

  • Session hours may be logged toward coaching certifications (e.g. International Coach Federation, Wayfinder)

  • Your identity will not be disclosed in any assessments or reviews

  • In some cases, you may be asked for permission to record sessions for supervision or assessment purposes

  • Participation in recordings is entirely optional and will only occur with your explicit consent

7. Services and Delivery

7.1 Coaching

  • Delivered virtually or as agreed

  • Session frequency and duration are agreed at the commencement of engagement

  • Packages are to be used within the agreed timeframe

7.2 Group Programs

  • Delivered via a combination of live sessions and self-paced content

  • Content is for personal use only and may not be shared or reproduced

  • Group sessions require respectful and confidential participation

7.3 Retreats & Events

  • Retreat details (dates, inclusions, pricing) are outlined at the time of booking

  • Participants are responsible for their own wellbeing and participation

  • Additional terms (e.g. accommodation, travel) may apply and will be provided separately

7.4 Advisory & Consulting

  • Scope, deliverables, and timelines will be agreed in writing

  • Work is provided based on professional expertise, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed

8. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are outlined at the time of booking or agreement

  • Payment terms (upfront or instalments) will be specified per service

  • Late payments may result in suspension of services

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a session

  • Late cancellations or missed sessions may be forfeited

  • Program and retreat cancellation terms will be outlined at the time of purchase

10. Intellectual Property

All Verus Coaching materials, including:

  • Program content

  • Resources

  • Frameworks and tools

remain the intellectual property of Verus Coaching.

They are provided for personal use only and may not be copied, shared, or distributed without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

Verus Coaching provides professional coaching and advisory services with care and expertise.

However:

  • No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes

  • You remain responsible for your decisions and actions

  • Verus Coaching is not liable for any direct or indirect outcomes resulting from your participation

12. Professional Standards and Ethics

All Verus Coaching services are delivered in accordance with the ethical standards and guidelines set by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

This includes a commitment to:

  • Professional integrity

  • Confidentiality

  • Clear boundaries of practice

  • Ongoing professional development and supervision

13. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Verus Coaching website.
